if there’s two things to be sure about this year it’s the relationship you have with God and with yourself.
accepting the things you cannot change.
trusting in God that despite what your eyes see, everything will be okay and you’ll succeed can be tough...
maybe that’s what they mean when they say “growing pains.”
it’s the adaptation to life and its unexpectedness.
it’s about the control or lack thereof people have over their emotions.
it’s about the courage gained each day to treat those around you with love.
it’s about leading with love.
it’s about praying for not just who and what you want, but the ones who’ve hurt you.
it’s about making decisions with the bigger picture in mind more often than not, and continuously sacrificing.
it’s about understanding the responsibilities that accompany being chosen.
it’s about acting from a place of disciplined abundance as opposed to familiar fear and scarcity.
it’s about letting go of the illusion that by changing my habits it’ll inevitably change someone else’s.
it’s about realizing expectations will lead to disappointments.
it’s about realizing the love you give you may not ever or always receive.
it’s about having the patience to unlearn, be taught, and teach or set the standards on how you should be treated for yourself before the thought of anyone else.
it’s about redefining what friendships, accountability, loyalty, self-care, self-love, and self-investment look like for you.
